The City of Clinton Public Works Committee will meet Tuesday morning to review a wide range of infrastructure, development, and planning items affecting the community.
The open meeting is scheduled for 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, at City Hall, 105 E. Ohio Street.
Committee members expected to attend include Roger House, Cameron Jackson, and Rob Hills, along with city staff from multiple departments and representatives from American Water Resources (AWR). Carla Moberly is also listed as a guest.
One of the first items on the agenda is a Community Development update, including the December Building Report and an end-of-year summary highlighting construction and permitting activity in Clinton during 2025.
Several wastewater system projects will also be discussed, including ongoing manhole rehabilitation, easement clearing, updates on Lower Level Pump 4, and progress on the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) upgrade. Committee members will also hear updates on CCTV inspections and the Stoneridge Facility Plan.
The committee will then review matters tied to the Planning Commission, following a public hearing held Monday evening regarding a rezoning request from First Baptist Church. The church has applied to rezone property at 1531 N. Vansant Road from A-1 Agricultural Rural Residential to C-1 Neighborhood Commercial District. A recommendation from the Planning Commission is expected to be available during the meeting.
Street and transportation projects round out the agenda, including a proposed 2nd Street striping plan, Addendum #02 for the Price Lane contract, discussion of the SS4A Access Management Policy, and an update on the TAP-2000 (209) 2nd Street Sidewalk Extension project.
Public Works Committee meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend or follow updates through city channels and local media.
