Stop by the Henry County Library or Lenora Blackmore Branch today to register for this year’s adult reading challenge. This year’s theme is Go for the Gold in a nod to the 2026 Winter Olympics. The challenge will run from January 12th – February 28th, and each participant will battle their way through bronze, speed through the silver, and Go for the Gold to earn entries to become one of three medalists to win the grand prizes of a $25, $50, or $75 Greater Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificate.
Each registered participant will receive a goodie bag filled with bronze, silver, and gold items. Readers must complete four books of their choice plus a bonus read to advance through each of the bronze, silver, and gold medals. Any participant who completes all three medals is eligible to advance to the Olympic Rings Bonus Reads (books with blue, black, red, yellow, and green in the titles) to earn additional grand prize drawing entries. A total of eleven grand prize drawing entries may be earned per participant.
Come join in the competition to race your fellow competitors and battle the winter blues with some rewarding reads. Please contact the Henry County Library at (660)885-2612 or the Lenora Blackmore Branch at (660)647-2298 for further information. Let the games begin!
