The Henry County Historical Society and Henry County Museum are proud to be selected as recipients of Mills & Sons Insurance’s 2025 year-end giving. Their generous $5,000 donation directly supports our mission to preserve, share, and honor the stories that shape Henry County.

This gift strengthens our ability to care for the museum’s collections and continue providing a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike. We are deeply grateful for Mills & Sons Insurance’s commitment to our community’s heritage and its recognition of the value of preserving local history.

Company owner and fifth-generation Henry Countian, Mitchell Mills, shared why this support matters to his family:

“As someone whose roots run deep in Henry County, I believe it is vitally important that we preserve our history. The Henry County Historical Society is an organization our community can rely on to safeguard the artifacts and stories of our great county. It is a pleasure for our family to support this work, and we hope others will join us in ensuring the Historical Society can continue its important mission.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Mills family for helping ensure that Henry County’s history remains alive, accessible, and cared for. Their generosity strengthens not only the museum but the entire community we serve.

Clinton Country Club HOUSE–Setting the Record Straight (and the Table!)

We’ve heard some rumblings around town, and we wanted to clear the air! While we love the excitement, we want to clarify that Joe Applegate is not taking over the kitchen here at Clinton Country Club.

So, what is Joe doing?

We are thrilled to be collaborating with Joe as a Consulting Chef! He’s been working behind the scenes with our team to curate a fresh, delicious new menu that we can’t wait for you to try.

You can also look forward to seeing him in the kitchen as a Guest Chef for exclusive special occasion nights throughout the year!

*Please note that Applegate Catering continues to operate as a separate entity and would gladly quote your culinary needs accordingly.

Stay tuned for our menu launch and upcoming guest chef dates. We’re leveling up the dining experience at CCC, and we’re glad Joe is helping us get there!
