Charles Leo Freeman, age 84, of Clinton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026.
Charles was born on November 27, 1941, in Windsor, Missouri, to John and Mabel Freeman. He was a longtime resident of Windsor, where he spent most of his life and formed many lasting friendships.
Charles had a love for garage sales and collecting knick-knacks. Every visit with him came with a story and often a small treasure he was excited to show or share. He found joy in the simple things and loved making others smile with his unique finds.
He was first married to Mary Ann Vickers, and from this union two daughters were born, Diana Lynn Day and Vickie Sue Ball, both of whom preceded him in death.
On April 30, 1982, Charles married Ruby K. Jenkins in Miami, Oklahoma. Ruby was the love of his life, and together they shared many cherished years until her passing on October 6, 2004.
Charles is survived by his four stepchildren: Gary Dunbar, Jimmy Jones, Patricia Jones, and Douglas Jones; his grandchildren Courtney Scott, Cody Franklin, Ashley Himes, Kurtis Wilson, and Charles Wilson; along with several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Boyd of Indiana.
In addition to his beloved wife Ruby and daughters Diana and Vickie, Charles was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Lori Wilson; his brothers Howard, J.W., Richard, Dale, Donald, Ralph, and Robert; his sisters Katherine, Maxine, Patricia, Betty, Shirley and his great-grandson Carsyn Scott.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date and burial will take place in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor. A memorial has been established to assist with funeral expenses. Contributions may be left in care of Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
