The Truman Lake Community Foundation has opened its annual grant cycle for 2026, offering local nonprofit organizations, schools, churches and community groups an opportunity to apply for funding to support projects across the region.

The grant cycle officially opened February 1 and will be the only grant opportunity offered by the foundation in 2026. Applications must be submitted by March 2, and eligible applicants may request up to $5,000 per grant.

The Truman Lake Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The online application and full eligibility guidelines are available through the Community Foundation of the Ozarks website. Applicants should search for Henry County or Truman Lake Community Foundation to locate the appropriate grant listing.

“Since our inception in 1998, we have awarded more than $10 million locally,” said Deanna Hendrich, chair of the grant committee and president of the Truman Lake Community Foundation board. “We value the difference that we can make in the communities we serve.”

Hendrich encourages interested organizations to review the online application carefully to determine eligibility. Multiple grants are awarded during each funding cycle.

Organizations with specific questions about the application process may contact the foundation by email at trumanlakefoundation@gmail.com.
