Public Works Committee to Review Street, Wastewater, and Parks Items at Feb. 24 Meeting

The Clinton, Missouri Public Works Committee will meet in open session Tuesday morning to review a wide range of community development, street, wastewater, and Parks and Recreation topics.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. at City Hall, 105 E. Ohio Street.

Committee members include Roger House, Cameron Jackson and Rob Hills. Staff members scheduled to attend include Christy Maggi, TJ Williams, Brad Combs, Chuck Bailey, John McClendon and Trace Pemberton. Contract staff from AWR will also be present, along with guest Carla Moberly, Mayor of Clinton.

Community Development

The committee will begin with a review of the January Building Report, followed by a report on items that received a 5–0 recommendation for approval from the Planning Commission, and an update to the city’s condemnation list.

Street Department

Several roadway and infrastructure items are scheduled for discussion, including:

  • 2nd Street and Calvird Drive striping, with reference to:

    • the 2011 overlay and striping specifications from the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT),

    • guidance from the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and

    • a scope-of-work proposal from CJW Striping for both locations.

  • Urich Road bridge repair, which will also be reviewed.

Wastewater

The committee will receive updates on a planned wastewater plant shutdown and the status of a generator for the facility.

Parks and Recreation

Several Parks and Recreation matters are on the agenda, including:

  • a disc golf tournament scheduled for April 11, 2026,

  • the closure of the Community Center on March 29, 2026, to accommodate a volleyball tournament, and

  • an update regarding the Community Center elevator.

The meeting is open to the public.
