Sheriff Aaron N. Brown reports the following arrests and incidents for the week:
- February 07, 2026 – Warrant:
Deputy Murphy conducted a warrant service in the Urich area that resulted in the arrest of Gerald Heistand, age 66, of Urich, on a Cass County warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Custody of Heistand was transferred to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and he was transported to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office. - February 09, 2026 – Warrant:
Master Sergeant Logan, Sergeant Brandt, and Detective Stutzman conducted a warrant service in the Clinton area that resulted in the arrest of Jeremy Jones, age 41, of Clinton, on two Henry County felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance. - February 09, 2026 – Domestic Assault 2nd Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Resisting Arrest:
Deputy Moree and Deputy England responded to a report of a physical domestic disturbance in progress in the Clinton area. Upon arrival, the suspect, Christopher Bushman, age 62, of Clinton, attempted to flee the scene on foot. Bushman was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour investigative hold for domestic assault 2nd degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and resisting arrest. The investigation revealed that Bushman allegedly grabbed the victim by the hair, slammed her head into a kitchen counter, and strangled her to the point that she nearly lost consciousness. A juvenile child was present inside the residence during the altercation. Within a 24-hour period, the Henry County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office filed formal charges, and a warrant was issued for domestic assault 2nd degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and felony resisting arrest. - February 09, 2026 – Driving While Revoked, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia:
Deputy Hysom conducted a traffic stop in the rural Clinton area that resulted in the arrest of Connie Fenske, age 46, of Clinton, for driving while revoked. Sergeant Brandt responded to the scene with K9 Elenore and conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle. K9 Elenore positively alerted on the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, during which suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located. Fenske was additionally arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sergeant Brandt used a Sheriff’s Office 1064 Defender, which is designed to identify suspected narcotics, and the substance tested positive for methamphetamine.
All individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The above arrests are allegations at this time.
