Sheriff Aaron N. Brown reports the following arrests and incidents for the week:
- February 27, 2026 – Failure to Register as a Sex Offender:
Detective Baker arrested Travis Thomas, age 34, of Urich at the Sheriff’s Office for failing to register as a sex offender. Thomas allegedly failed to complete his required registration prior to the deadline. - February 27, 2026 – Warrant:
Deputy Saulters conducted a traffic stop in the Clinton area that resulted in the arrest of Eric Uptegrove, age 35, of Leeton on a Johnson County traffic warrant and a Pettis County traffic warrant. - March 2, 2026 – Warrant:
Deputy Saulters conducted a traffic stop in the rural Clinton area that resulted in the arrest of Marlen Denton, age 27, of Fair Play on a Cedar County warrant for traffic offenses. - March 2, 2026 – Possession of a Controlled Substance:
Sheriff Brown conducted a traffic stop in the rural Calhoun area that resulted in the arrest of Julie Jones, age 26, of Clinton, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was allegedly found to be in possession of a white crystal substance and a glass pipe. The substance was tested using the Henry County Sheriff’s Office 1046 Drug Identifier and yielded a positive result for methamphetamine. - March 4, 2026 – Driving While Suspended/Revoked:
Detective Baker conducted a traffic stop in the rural Clinton area that resulted in the arrest of Cheyenne Jones, age 29, of Clinton for driving while suspended/revoked, first offense. - March 5, 2026 – Minor Visibly Intoxicated:
Sergeant Brandt and Deputy England responded to the Tightwad area regarding a report of suspicious activity. Deputies contacted two subjects and the investigation revealed they had been drinking intoxicants. Isabella Mcdermond, age 19, of Warrensburg and Jaydence Barber, age 19, of Warrensburg were arrested for minor visibly intoxicated. - March 5, 2026 – Warrant:
Deputy Saulters arrested Johnathan Burchette, age 19, of Clinton at the courthouse on a Henry County felony warrant for Assault 3rd Degree. - March 5, 2026 – Warrant:
Deputy Saulters arrested Lucas Heatherington, age 29, of Montrose at the courthouse on a Henry County felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. - March 5, 2026 – Warrant:
Deputy Saulters arrested Johnathan Jones, age 27, of Clinton at the courthouse on a Henry County felony warrant for Stealing a Firearm. - March 5, 2026 – Warrant:
Sergeant Richardson arrested John Rodrigues, age 44, of Lowry City on a Henry County felony warrant for Stealing. - March 5, 2026 – Warrant:
Sergeant Richardson arrested Cristal Burgess, age 27, of Marshall on a Henry County felony warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
All individuals arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The above arrests are allegations at this time.
