Larry Ray Cornett, 76, of Osceola, Missouri passed away Friday, March 20, 2026 at his home. He was born August 24, 1949 in Clinton, MO., the son of Robert Franklin Cornett and Helen Marine (Fritts) Cornett.
He was united in marriage to Glenda Lyn Mantonya on August 8, 1970 in Leesville, MO. They were the first couple to marry in the new Tebo Baptist Church.
Larry worked as a carpenter and stone mason, a farmer and mechanic. He served his country and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lowry City, MO, serving as a Chairman of the Deacons and Sunday school teacher. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda of the home; one son, Robert Cornett, Osceola, MO; one daughter, Becky Cornett, Clinton, MO; four grandchildren, Kayla Cornett, Keri Cornett, Kaitlyn Cornett and Kathlyn Cornett; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Virdect, Springdale, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jesse Cornett and three brothers in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Tebo Cemetery, Leesville, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions to Tebo Cemetery or Fisher House, 4801 East Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64128.
