Good morning everyone! All of last week I was at the SEMA (State Emergency Management Agency) conference in Columbia. It was 4 full days of keynote speakers talking about everything from atmospheric science to grants to help citizens get back on their feet from a devastating event. I was able to gain so much knowledge on how to help our community become more prepared and resilient.  It really opened the door for many programs available to WCMO that many did not even knew existed. Of course one the hottest topic came from NOAA and the National Weather Service, speaking about the the de-funding of their program to provide maintenance and service work on the outdoor tornado sirens in the state. This will be covered in my podcast coming out Tuesday. Governor Mike Parson was in attendance and gave his steadfast support of public safety and emergency management professionals over his last 6 years.  Missouri Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe was also in attendance offering his full support. All in all, a wonderful event providing a very interactive and informative week for all of us in emergency management. Here are a few pictures taken at the event courtesy of SEMA. Subby
