Friday, September 27th at 8:54 pm, a 1 vehicle accident claimed the life of a Johnson County teen. A pickup driven by Turner R George,18, of Warrensburg was traveling southbound on SW 271st Rd when the driver lost control while accelerating through a curve, The vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned and struck a fence. George was not wearing his safety belt at the time. George was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. They were Timothy N Toole,19, of Centerview, Wylie M Grant,18, of Chillhowee and a 17 year old juvenile from Chillhowee.
