I have good news and bad news….the good news is that 398 of those that entered the snowflake contest is still in the running!! The bad news is that 8 of you that entered are now out of the contest.
We have a quiet couple days in store with cool weather and plenty of sunshine. We will begin to see clouds and the chance of rain coming in on Friday and last through Saturday night. In West Central Missouri, the hydrology outlook puts us in <1.5″ for this event. This could aggravate the local rivers but there should be enough time for Big Creek and the Grand River to be able to take on this amount without much concern. No severe weather is showing up at this time. We still have 2 more storm systems stacked up after this weekend that will affect us next week as well. Here is a look at the system for this weekend and as you can see, it is being produced by a “cut-off” low pressure system that breaks off from the upper level steering winds (jet stream) and goes renegade.
