Good morning everyone. Storm system number 3 is finally rotating its way out of West Central Missouri after combining with storm 1 & 2 to provide a drought busting >6″ of rainfall here in our area over the last week and a half. Our next system comes in for the weekend as a “cut-off” low pressure system. Remember, a cut-off low is one that separates itself from the steering winds otherwise known as the Jet Stream. These things wobble and go their own direction that is sometimes hard to predict. But, I am expecting this system to affect us on beginning on Friday night all the way through Sunday with rain and thunderstorms. The severe threat does not look like will be an issue for this round, BUT another one is on its heels that could pack a punch as we go into next week. Here is a look at that cut-off low that is poised to move into our area this weekend. Have a great day! Subby
