
While we are dealing with snow and ice here in West Central Missouri, those in California are battling enormous fires including the Palisades fire. Several thousand acres have been burned and is forcing evacuations of over 50,000 people in Southern California. Videos of people and animal trapped in their homes with fire surrounding them are terrifying. Three big fires ongoing as seen below:
The winds are helping spread the fires a quarter of a mile every 5 minutes! Incredible wind measurements have been taken including a 176mph gust recorded in Kirkwood, CA. They are higher up in elevation but still! Many other reports of 80 to 100mph winds are help fueling this enormous fire.
Take a look at those winds speeds above! Wowzer! Firestorms and firenados have been photographed and more evacuations are being issued by the hour.
